Gen1 facilitates the creation of videos from existing video footage, while Gen2 generates videos based on prompts, which can be in the form of text, images, or a combination of text and image descriptions. With over 20 presets available, users can select an animation style that suits their preferences.
Frame Interpolation transforms a sequence of images into an animated video.
Beyond video generation, Runway’s editing tools encompass Color Grade, Scene Detection, Motion Tracking, and Depth of Field. Notably, the Blur Faces tool employs AI to detect faces and apply blurring, adding an extra layer of privacy.
It’s essential to note that, unlike some other AI animation tools, Runway does not provide editing options for individual elements within the video. Its editing capabilities are applied to the video as a whole.
